IPL Photofacial in West Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach & Lantana | Flawless Med Spa

An IPL Photofacial uses Intense Pulsed Light to target and break down pigmentation and redness in your skin. Think of it like a reset button for sun-damaged skin — it zaps dark spots, redness, and broken capillaries while leaving everything else untouched. A perfect treatment for anyone living in the Florida sun.

Concerns Addressed:

Sun spots, Age spots, Redness & rosacea, Broken capillaries, Uneven skin tone, Freckles, Mild hyperpigmentation

What to Expect

Before

Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks. Do not use self-tanner. Arrive with clean skin, no makeup. Let your provider know about any medications that increase light sensitivity.

During

Protective eye shields are placed over your eyes. A cool gel is applied to the treatment area. The IPL device delivers precise flashes of light. You will feel a warm snapping sensation with each pulse. The whole treatment takes 20 to 40 minutes.

After

Skin may look a little pink for a few hours. Dark spots will temporarily look darker — this is the treatment working. Over 7 to 10 days they will flake away naturally, revealing clearer skin underneath.

After Care

• Apply SPF 30+ every day — your skin is extra sun-sensitive after IPL
• Avoid direct sun for 2 weeks after treatment
• Do not pick at or rub darkened spots — they will flake off on their own
• Use gentle, non-irritating skincare for 5 to 7 days
• Skip retinoids, exfoliating acids, and actives for 5 days
• Avoid hot showers, saunas, and exercise for 24 hours
• Stay hydrated and let your skin heal naturally

What Is an IPL Photofacial?

An IPL Photofacial — also called an IPL skin rejuvenation treatment — uses flashes of broad-spectrum light to target and break apart the pigment in dark spots and the blood vessels that cause redness. Your body then naturally clears that discoloration away, leaving you with a cleaner, more even complexion. No cuts. No peeling. No downtime.

Why Palm Beach Clients Love IPL Photofacials

Built for Florida Skin

We live in one of the sunniest states in the country. Sun spots, rosacea flare-ups, and uneven tone are incredibly common here. The IPL Photofacial was practically made for us — it erases the evidence of too many days in the sun and keeps your skin looking fresh all year.

Targets Dark Spots Without Damaging Surrounding Skin

The light energy is attracted to pigment and blood vessels specifically. It breaks those down while leaving healthy skin completely untouched.

Treats Rosacea and Redness

IPL is one of the most effective non-invasive treatments for rosacea. It reduces visible redness, calms flare-ups, and targets broken capillaries across the nose and cheeks.

No Downtime

You may look a little pink for a few hours, and dark spots will temporarily look darker before they flake away naturally over about a week. But you can go right back to your normal life after treatment.
