What to Expect
Before
Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids 5 to 7 days before. Avoid sun exposure and tanning. Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Let your provider know about any current medications.
During
Your skin is cleansed. The VI Peel solution is applied in layers. You may feel a light tingling or warmth for a few minutes — totally normal. A post-peel kit goes home with you. Takes about 30 minutes total.
After
Peeling begins around day 3 and is complete by day 7. Fresh, smoother, brighter skin is revealed underneath. Sun spots look lighter. Skin feels softer. Results keep improving over the following weeks.
After Care
• Do not wash your face for at least 4 to 6 hours after the peel
• Apply the provided post-peel towelettes and moisturizer exactly as directed
• Do NOT pick, peel, or scratch flaking skin — let it shed naturally
• Wear SPF 30+ every single day — this is critical after a peel
• Avoid direct sun for at least 2 weeks
• Skip retinoids, AHAs, and active serums for 7 to 10 days
• No exercise or sweating for 48 hours
• Avoid swimming pools and saunas for 1 week
